I started a Project 365 a couple years ago and, as usual, fell away from it...But, I had asked my dear hubby for a new camera for Christmas this year, something small and light that I could tuck in my purse and take EVERYWHERE!! I love my old camera--it takes really great pictures, but it's heavy and bulky and not exactly convenient to take with me every day, everywhere I go. Plus I wanted to be able to take pics of the harbor and fishing boats, some of the historic buildings and monuments around here so I could get painting again--and love that he is, he picked me a pretty purple pocketsize Olympus that's absolutely perfect to tuck in my purse and go!

So! Let the picture taking begin!
New Year's morning sunrise over my Let it Snow flag--and snow it will today through tomorrow! We're expecting eight to fourteen inches--oh yeah!!
I made it out for the New Year's row yesterday morning in spite of chilly seventeen degree temps (wind chill felt like seven degrees!!) But the winds were calm, sun was bright, a couple seals popped up to greet us--a perfect start for the year!

And this nasty little thing is the burnt socket that Tucker sniffed out before things could get out of hand--I seriously love that dog!! The plug started to sizzle and spark causing the TV and DVR to blink on and off, then the whole room lost power. Fortunately Tucker discovered it and handy hubby shut off the power to the house, changed out the socket, and all is right once again! Yay! Love them both!!
I expect to have some pretty snow pics to share tomorrow although the brunt of the storm is expected to happen overnight tonight. For now, it's time to get Bugga back out the door for school at least for today! Happy New Year all!
